We are pleased to be acknowledged by the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation,” said Norman H. Shapiro, president of Weigel Broadcasting Co. “We believe that Green Screen Adventures is a show that makes a difference: one class at a time, one story at a time, one student at a time. The program has several goals, not only to encourage writing and literacy among students, but also to provide an inspirational tool for teachers and perhaps, most importantly, to promote a sense of pride and that dreams can come true.”

Norman Shapiro, president of Weigel Broadcasting Co., was presented with the Service to America Award for the company’s children’s television series Green Screen Adventures at the 2009 National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation ceremony in Washington D.C. FCC Commissioner Robert McDowell presented the award.
